Service Description

The Sequential Storytelling Workshop is a LIVE, interactive learning experience where you'll catch up with me, along with 11 other highly motivated students to learn how to create incredible comic book sequences! It's the next best thing to learning how draw comics in the classroom, except this one is virtual, which means you'll be enhancing your skill-set from the comfort of your own home. Watch real-time demonstrations that show you how a comic book sequence is planned and executed step-by-step. See how scenes are broken down into panels, that are then strategically laid out and organized on the page to ensure maximum readability. I'll show you how to populate your panels with characters, and background elements, without overcrowding the frame with too much stuff. We'll then clean up the interior panel illustrations with refined line work, rendering and details - ultimately turning your comic book sequence into a polished presentation. Throughout this Workshop, you'll be putting everything you learn into action as you create your own comic book sequence, with me there to guide you along the way. Since this is a LIVE Workshop, you'll be able to directly ask me questions and get immediate feedback on your work. On day 4, you'll submit your completed comic book page for an in-depth critique, designed to give you insights specific to your work that'll allow you to improve in strides even after completing this program. You'll leave the Sequential Storytelling Workshop with the method, drawing techniques, and personal insights needed to take your comic book pages to new heights.
