Learn The Art of Sequential Storytelling
Being a superstar comic artist doesn't just come down to raw drawing skill - you've got to be able to tell a story, sequentially, from one panel to the next in a way that make sense to the reader.
To give them an experience that stays with them, long after they've closed the book.
For many artists, this can be incredibly overwhelming.
The Sequential Storytelling Workshop goes for 3 days in total.
Day 1: Video Lectures
Day 2: Demonstration + Assignment
Day 3: Assignment Feedback
Along the way you'll learn how to layout a comic book page, put that knowledge into action, and get a personalized feedback from me.
At the end of each session we'll do a Q&A to make sure no stones are left unturned!
Learn 🡆 Apply what you learn 🡆 Get feedback.
Simple, yet effective!
Day 1 Breakdown
As a class we'll watch a collection of exclusive presentations that will explain everything that goes into an impactful comic book page layout. I made these video lessons specifically for the Sequential Storytelling Workshop and they cannot be found anywhere else. Here's what they'll teach you:
What software and tools to use to create a comic book page.
How many panels to include on a page, size up, and compose them.
How to ensure your panels work together, as well as on their own.
How to create a natural flow, and lead the readers eye throughout your pages.
My secret method for hooking readers and holding their interest.
What pacing is, and how to control it.
How to pick the ideal keyframes or moments to present in a panel
Where to place word balloons and how much dialogue to include
How to create guide focus inside a panel, and minimize surrounding distractions
Day 2 Breakdown
You'll get a full video demonstration that shows you how to draft your own page layouts, and refine them into ink-ready pencils.
At the end of the first two days you'll get an assignment, that'll give you the opportunity to put everything you've learned into action.
Day 3 Breakdown
On the final day I'll go through each assignment and give personalized feedback and guidance.

Meet Your Instructor
Often I’m asked how long I’ve been drawing. The truth is I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t. I was like any other crayon wielding kid, the only difference being that I never let go of that yearning for artistic venture.
My first love was Comic Books, my second was Video Games. Realizing that I wanted to build a career in both I spent most of my late teens immersing myself in constant study, practice and improvement to harness my skills in multiple fields. It was a long, intense journey, with many trials and tribulations along the way, all of which helped me to get my broad skillset to the level it’s at today.
I’ve devoted several years of my life to create training that teaches aspiring artists all my best strategies and techniques for Comic Art, Character Design, Visual Storytelling.
On a daily basis I am able to share my methods, techniques and philosophies with my students, so that they too might develop their own artistic flair and begin building themselves a legacy that they’re truly passionate about.
