Little update on a BIG character I've been designing for Rob Arnold's Replicator The Comic.

His name's Goliath, which is appropriate for this mass of muscle. I put some extra time into this character. I think Rob's excitement for Goliath rubbed off on me a bit, so I wanted to do him justice.
(I also planned to upload the narrated video process to Skillshare which gave me a good excuse to push my limits with this piece).
Went back to my previous style of rendering this time around - a cross between David Finch and Marc Silvestri's line work. I think I'll stick with it from now on too, very happy with the end result.
Giving the character that additional polish has extended the amount of time I would have otherwise dedicated to him, but a lot of it was surprisingly spent on his minigun attachments, and the ammo belts.
That caught me off guard, because I didn't really consider the perspective difficulties that would come with drawing them at the start. My focus was all on Goliath himself, and although he looks complex, I'm much more versed in rendering muscly monsters than I am miniguns!
Still a few more drawings to go on his character sheet, so I'll post those up when they're done. Thanks for checking out Goliath - let us know what you think of him in the comments below.
