Here's a quickie pic'y of Swift Shock, whipped up for Rep 3's finale stream to celebrate this momentous occasion. I had a lot of fun working on this piece LIVE - the pace at which I worked revealed just how energetic and lively my art could be with some speed behind it.
As a typically slow artist, it's made me realize my potential to get things down quicker instead of being such a perfectionist all the time. Over thinking a drawing can really hold back the life and spontaneity it might otherwise have.
So my big lesson? Ramp up the pace, and get present to the moment while I draw.
